Project Overview

Tired of receiving a regular stream of “bugs” as a result of vulnerability scanning, our customer realized that the cost of fixing bugs post-deployment was up to 10 times more expensive than dealing with them during design and implementation.

Business Exposure

Controls in applications that are retrofitted, and not built in, tend to be more expensive and less reliable overall. Insecure software and configurations would expose critical applications to threats that could lead to customer data breaches.

Project Objective

Increase the security and integrity of in-house developed web applications. Establish common secure coding standards and related security guidelines.

Business Benefits

We reduced the total cost of ownership for web applications while increasing quality in the developed code. The project reduced the long term costs associated with software development, patch, and update management. It also reduced the likelihood of major costs associated with a data breach.
