About Ralph Johnson

Ralph is a well-known and highly-respected professional with 17 years of progressive experience in information security.  He is the executive leader for King County’s information assurance program. His responsibilities include spearheading and managing initiatives to provide a proactive approach to information security. This includes assessing, identifying, and developing best-practice solutions for security and privacy issues across county agencies.

Ralph is a key member of several technology and security management groups; and a consultant to a variety of government agencies on information security issues.  He is the past Governance Board President of the Holistic Information Security Practitioner Institute (HISPI).  Ralph is also a lecturer, teaching courses in Risk Management, Policy Development and Implementation and Legal Issues in Information Technology.  His professional certifications include CISSP, CISM, CIPP/US and HISP, FBI Citizens Academy.  Ralph earned his BS in Business Administration from Eastern Oregon University.
